Our Robert E. Coyle United States Courthouse in Fresno ranks #7 as one of the 30 Most Architecturally Impressive Courthouses in the U.S. The Courthouse is Fresno’s tallest building. The nine story structure is composed of pre-cast concrete in a Brutalist style that references the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains through its use of shapely sculpted elements. Covering 400,000 square feet, the courthouse also features a public garden that can be viewed from the lobby. The project has garnered multiple awards since opening in 2005 including the 2007 GSA Design Excellence Honor Award and a 2006 Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Award.

It’s great to our Brown School of Social Work coming out of the ground! You can listen to Dean Eddie Lawlor talk about the aspirations for the Brown School in their new campaign video.
