ENR Mountain State 2021 Best Higher Education/ Research Award

ENR Mountain State 2021 Best Higher Education/ Research Award

We are pleased to share that the University of Denver’s Community Commons and Dimond Family Residential Village has received the ENR Mountain State 2021 Best Higher Education/ Research Award. The project welcomes a diverse student community by bringing a critical mass of students and resources to the center of campus to transform the historic core—a primary goal of the University’s Strategic Plan. Since its opening, the project funnels and mixes students capturing movement along a central flow path with a variety of types of spaces for students, faculty, staff and visitors to dine, meet, socialize, study, and make use of supportive services. Food is used strategically to unite the entire community and flexible and open welcoming spaces reinforce a sense of belonging that is key to keeping students on campus and support their success.
