Golden Sea Lake Artists Studios and Exhibition Center

The Golden Sea Lake creates an ambitious cultural, residential and recreational development for this spectacular mountainous site outside Beijing.

The project presents a distinctive mix of civic, cultural, community and sports facilities along with hotels, retail, 400 luxury villas and a 50,000 square-meter clubhouse. Our efforts have focused on offering a superior resort lifestyle, maximizing lake access and views, and providing comprehensive program elements, activities and technologies that are appropriate for year-round use.

The design of the prestigious Artists Clubhouse and Villas/Studios creates an elegant configuration of iconic volumes spiraling along a cliff edge on the western shore of the lake. The spaces are organized in a dynamic ensemble of exhibition halls, production studios, pool/spa, theater, meeting rooms, guest rooms, lounges and bars—all oriented to capture the panoramic vistas of the lake.
